Approach to Healing

At the Tree of Life Center, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to work through grief, stress, trauma, and life transitions. Therapy here is a place to be seen, understood,  supported, and better able to cope with what you’re carrying. 

Together, we focus on helping you:

  • Feel less overwhelmed and more regulated

  • Understand and work through difficult emotions

  • Develop practical tools you can use in daily life, relationships, and work

  • Gently process past experiences that continue to show up in the present

Healing is not one-size-fits-all. It’s multi-layered, and we work with what feels most important for you right now.

 Life’s challenges are inevitable, but how we respond to them can transform everything. Stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions are part of being human. The goal isn’t to eliminate them but to shift how we relate to these experiences.

Your Inner GPS: A Whole-Health Perspective 

Awareness is key! Exploring the different layers of ourselves allows us to see our experiences from more than one perspective. Therapy supports noticing these signals with curiosity rather than judgment.

Like a GPS, these signals offer gentle guidance. They are sources of information helping us navigate with more clarity and intention.

Whole-Health Awareness includes:

  • Mind
    Thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that shape how we make meaning of our experiences

  • Emotions
    Energetic responses to our experiences. There is a vast range of emotions and they are not right or wrong and always valid. 

  • Body
    Physical sensations and cues that reflect lived experience

  • Breath & Nervous System
    An internal anchor that supports regulation, presence, and balance

  • Intuition:  Inner guidance, insight, and a deeper sense of knowing

Understanding grief and trauma as universal and part of the human experience 

 

 Grief comes in many forms – the death of a loved one, divorce, life transitions, loss of identity, or even the loss of a life you thought you'd have. These experiences shape us, but they don't have to define us.

 

Trauma, too, can manifest in ways both big and small, leaving us feeling anxious, disconnected, or stuck. These experiences impact how we move through the world, our relationships, and how we feel in our bodies.

Yoga and breathwork are practices to connect the mind, body, and spirit, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of inner calm.
