Your life has changed. The grief is real.

Grief shows up in many different forms. Some of the most profound grief comes from life changing, in ways you didn't choose, or even ways you did choose, that still bring unexpected loss.

The end of a marriage, empty nest. retirement or a career shift. And even grieving a part of yourself. There is grief around a life that looks completely different than you imagined.

The grief that comes with life's biggest transitions is valid and often less acknowledged.

The world may tell you to be grateful, to move on, to look on the bright side. Yes, there is truth AND,  beneath all of that is grief. The grief of who you were, the life you expected, and the future you imagined.

There is no hierarchy of pain, no right way to feel it, no timeline and no doing it wrong.

There is a place for you here, whatever you are navigating and however long you have been carrying it

Do any of these feel familiar

Some of the most profound grief comes from life changing- in ways you didn't choose, or even ways you did choose, that still bring unexpected loss.

  • Identity shift- not knowing who you are outside of the role or relationship you held

  • Loneliness- feeling like no one understands because "nothing bad happened"

  • Fear- of the future, of being alone, of starting over

  • The in between- knowing the old chapter has ended but not yet knowing what comes next

  • Grief of what was - mourning the life you expected and the future you imagined

  • Who am I now-  searching for purpose, direction, and meaning

  •

If you nodded at any of these, you are in the right place.

Community is Medicine

Something shifts when you give yourself a little time to be with people who truly get it, who can relate, who see you.

Your cup begins to fill again. And from that place, you can begin to step into what comes next.

Because grief is not the destination. Moving through it, together, opens space for something new.

Laughter, joy, and hope become possible again

About Beth

I'm Beth, LCSW, EMDR therapist, yoga teacher, Reiki healer, grief specialist, and fellow traveler on this human journey. In my work I see individual clients in person and virtually, facilitate grief workshops and retreats, and partner with organizations to bring grief and wellness support to the communities they serve.

Grief has been my teacher, personally and professionally, for over two decades. The Village was born from my own experience of loss and my deep belief that we heal more fully in community.
